About the memorial: An addition to a headstone on a family grave. The memorial comprises a tall white marble headstone with a pointed arch top and recessed sides. At the head is a triangular panel containing a design of foliage and the opening inscription in relief. The remaining inscription is inlaid mainly in upright capital block lettering and the headstone surmounts an oblong base with a bevelled top bearing a further inscription. It is west of the path from Church Street to the cemetery and just south of the path from the church through the churchyard. The A61 is called Chesterfield Road on some maps.
