About the memorial: A blue cedar tree (Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca') in the churchyard accompanied by a dedicatory plaque in the porch. The plaque comprises a shield bearing the emblem of the Royal British Legion with a ribbon below, mounted on a shield-shaped backboard. The backboard is mounted on a further decorative backboard with a dedicatory plaque below bearing the inscription in upright capital decorative lettering. The tree is just south of the church, the plaque is on the east wall inside the porch.
