About the memorial: A memorial board/roll of honour (probably wooden) formerly fixed to the outside of the then-named West Lodge, situated on a path from the estate to the church so that it could be viewed by the Wilshere family owners. Although permission had been granted by the owners to have the board removed from the lodge and moved into the church, it seemingly never materialised. All attempts to trace it have failed and it is therefore believed most likely to have disintegrated during the removal attempt. A typed transcription on paper survives which is kept with other documents inside the church.
