About the memorial: An oaken panelled triptych containing a white alabaster tablet. When closed, the tall narrow single-panelled volets have no ornamentation, but when open they bear an emblem of a cockerel and crossed keys to the right and left respectively. The central panel is surmounted by a plain cavetto cornice and is divided into two panels. The upper third has a wooden panel bearing a gilded inscription in upright capital roman lettering. The lower two-thirds contains a glazed panel over a white alabaster tablet bearing delicate Moorish carving, with arcades and lattice windows in red, blue and gold and bearing Moorish texts. The three arches of the lower arcade have a crucifix at the centre and names on each side, inscribed in blue and black upright capital roman lettering. The main inscription terminates on the lower rail. The memorial is inside, on the east pier of the north arcade.
