About the memorial: A Book Of Remembrance in a timber and glass case, with a separate inscription on a metal plaque. Dedicated 19th November 1999. The Book was created to replace WMO/295506, which had been moved out of the borough following the sale of the Regimental Drill Hall, and to maintain a record of the men's names in the town in which they had served.
