About the memorial: A Hopton limestone monument comprising a stepped and tapered pillar on a plinth and two-stepped base and surmounted by a wheeled fourchée cross. A christograph is carved at the top of the pillar and the inlaid inscription is in mainly lower case gothic lettering for WW1 and upper case block lettering for WW2. The church is on the north side of the road to the north of the village. The memorial is near the hedge at the southern boundary with the road..
