About the memorial: A wall mounted, wooden framed and glazed roll of honour. The coloured roll has a twin red and black lined border with crossed Union Flag and Royal Standard at the head. The Derby Rowing Club badge is at the bottom centre with an image of a King’s crown rank badge in each bottom corner and between the flags at the top. The inscription is in red and black gothic calligraphy. The names are in three columns separated by three thin red, black and red vertical lines and are in black capital roman lettering with units in black sentence case roman lettering. The Clubhouse is on the right bank of the River Derwent. The memorial is fixed at high level to the north internal wall of the main stairwell.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
