About the memorial: An oblong plaque encased in a mild steel case on a frame. The plaque has at its centre an historical map of the village with notable buildings and features illustrated. At the top is the commemorative text; the names of those who served are in in columns at each side and a list of sponsors is at the foot. The oblong steel case is supported by a steel frame with two tubular legs on a flat base and is decorated with 19 mild steel poppies extending around the case with the flowers forming a border to it. The poppies represent the nineteen who fell in WW1. It is by the path, just southeast of the hall.
