About the memorial: Twenty houses built as part of the Haig Homes Charity Housing development by Hermann Marx in memory of his son Paul Manfred Daniel Marx, killed 27 February 1943, aged 31. The estate was redeveloped in 1995, leaving eighteen homes. A sundial is erected on the estate bearing the dedicatory inscription.
