About the memorial: Landscaped Garden Area. It is considered by both the local council and the group developing the gardens to be an adjunct to the Civic Memorial across the road- WMO/135815 (see Comment). There are 7 War Memorial Benches around the Garden and another 5 Covid Memorial Benches There are signs on both left hand and right hand gates. There is also a dedication plaque on stone at the far end of the gardens flanked by Great White Cherry Blossom Trees- one per man. Dedication plaque- These six Great White Cherry Blossom Trees are dedicated/to the memory of the Warrior Six, who were tragically killed/fighting in Afghanistan in 2012/[names]/They were planted on Sunday 6 March 2022/by family members of the Warrior Six and volunteers.
