Location: Internal
Setting: Inside a building - public/private
Description: Other church fitting
Materials:
  • Timber Timber (any)
Lettering: Incised
Conflicts:
  • First World War (1914-1918)
  • Second World War (1939-1945)
  • Falklands Conflict (1982)
About the memorial: wooden memorial plaque commemorating the service personnel of the parish of llanfwrog who lost their lives during first world war, second world war & falklands conflict. lettering is incised and infilled with black paint. looks as if the ww2 panel was very skilfully added after that conflict as there is evidence of the wood having been cut. the left side of the ww1 & ww2 panels are a lighter wood than the main part of the memorial and it seems that the original left side carved border has been cut out and used to extend the right side border to accommodate the ww2 panel. falklands conflict panel (in pine?) has been added at base of the memorial plaque.
