About the memorial: This is a tentative report, and is based on a newspaper report which stated that at a special service at St Andrew's Church in 1920, the names of 15 men who lost their lives in the war were read out. It is unknown if this was translated into a permanent memorial, and if so whether it survives. Both St Andrew's and St George's (Lower Wandsworth Road, site now part of the new Covent Garden Market) were damaged in the Blitz in WW2. A new combined Church was built on Patmore Street in 1955 to 1956. In turn that Church was replaced with a new Church on the same site in 1996
