About the memorial: This Roll Of Honour had been lost for many years. It was found at the back of another picture in St. James Church, Well Hill, Holywell, CH8 7PP it was on the back of a list of Priests who had served in the church. A local man offered to re-frame and display this historically important document in the local Museum. It now has a painted frame and a piece of perspex installed to protect the paper document, which unfortunately does have some signs of damage. It shows 195 names of local men listed with their address and the Regiment they served with. Underlined names are of the Men who died. It hangs within a display of other WW1 documents, memorabilia, artifacts, photographs and information at Holywell Area Community Museum.
