About the memorial: Wall mounted, ogee topped,wooden triptych with the names painted in black lettering on the left and right panels. The centre of the triptych carries a large brass latin cross set in the recess, and beneath in a recessed panel the dedication is carved in relief. Four of those who died have a red cross to the left of their name, although on the War Memorial (see wmr 37752) there are eight names of those who died in WW1. Hanging beneath the triptych is a framed and glazed print of the medals awarded to the Buxton Family.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
