About the memorial: Formerly the Resurrection Chapel, it was re-ordered in 1951 as the Regimental Chapel of the Regiment as its Memorial to those from the Regiment who fell in WW2.The works carried out included a low Hopton Wood stone screen between the rear wall and window and a raised dais on which was erected a Hopton Wood stone altar, with a text carved above three recessed panels divided by carved columns within which are carved three shields bearing incised and coloured badges - that of the Regiment in the centre, and those of its constituent Regiments which came together to form the Regiment in 1881 - the 33rd Regiment to the left, and the 76th Regiment to the right. A silver cross and candlesticks, made from silver donated by individuals and Regimental Messes, adorn the altar and chancel. Other furnishings and fitments, including the silver-plated altar rails, a carpet, and oak chairs bearing the Regimental badge, were included, and many historic Regimental Colours are on display, either hanging from the walls or in display cases. When dedicated the Regiment's WW2 Roll of Honour was housed in a glazed wooden and bronze case on top of a Hopton Wood stone stand in front of the altar rails. This was removed under a Faculty granted on 26th March 1959, and the Roll and display case are to be found against the South wall of the Chapel on simple wooden brackets. It has been given a separate record (WMR 111336). The Chapel houses a number of other War Memorials, most of which relate to the Regiment:
