Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
Before applying for a grant you should read the advice available on War Memorials Trust`s website. The What we can and cannot fund helpsheet explains what types of work the charity can fund.
If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.
The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

n the adjoining church - yard/ repose in peace the mortal remains of/ WILLIAM HENRY TURTON ESQ.re/ Late of tros - yr - afon,/ father to the underneath;/ who closed a life of true benevolence/ and christian virtue,/ on the 26th of july 1841 in the 78th year of his age./ "the soul of the righteous are in the handsof god" 3rd wisdom./ This humble tribute of sincere attachment/ after a union of 50 years,/ has been placed here by his affectionate widow." "Sacred to the memory of/ RICHARD TURTON,/ son of W H Turton Esq.re of Beaumaris, and Barbara is wife/ Major in his Majestys 40th reclment of foot, who/ after an active service of 27 years in every/ quarter of the globe fell a victim to the climate/ of india, and died on his passage home from bombay/ on the 22nd of may 1835, aged 42 years./ I know whom i have believed and am persuaded that/ he is able to keep that which i have committed to/ him against that day. 2nd TIM. 1st chap 12th ver/ also of WILLIAM his only brother/ A Lieutenant in the same regiment who after/ being twice severely wounded; volunteering/ his services in the forlorn hope at the siege of/ san sebastian fell in the moment of victory,/ on the 2nd of SEPTr 1813, AGED 21 years./ This tablet is erected by Catherine the afflicted/ widow of Richard Turton, and the bereaved Parents/ as a tribute of affection to their memory.
