About the memorial: Rectangular brass memorial plaque; lettering is extensive and incised. The panel is decorated with two insignias- the first, on the upper left hand side is of the 5th Dragoon Guards; a galloping horse sent into a roundel, surrounding by the words ‘VESTIGIA NULLA RETRORSUM’- ‘No retreat’. A crown tops this orb. On the upper right hand side is a version of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers which has a motto underneath it, though this is unreadable from the photograph. The plaque is otherwise undecorated.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
