About the memorial: A carved, wooden panel showing a scene from the Dunkirk evacuation. Below is a small plaque telling of its origin and a further information board. It was designed for the Nottingham Branch of the Dunkirk Veterans Association and sculpted by Mike Green in 1991.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

PLAQUE: PRESENTED TO NOTTM D.V.A. 1992/ ENTRUSTED TO A.D.L.S/ LOANED TO THE EAST KENT MARITIME TRUST LABEL: This carved oak panel was designed and sculpted in 1991 by Mike Green for the/ Nottingham Branch of the Dunkirk Veterans Association. Upon the disbanding of the/ Nottingham D.V.A. it was presented to the Association of Dunkirk Little Ships and/ subsequently loaned by the A.D.L.S. to Ramsgate Maritime Museum as a memorial to/ those who participated in the events of May/June 1940./ Loaned by the Assocaition of Dunkirk Little Ships
