About the memorial: A freestanding memorial sculpture, the RAF Kenley Tribute, takes the form of an open book. Atop is carved the RAF crest with figures in the central panel representing ground crew, air crew and WRAF. The memorial is in memory of RAF Kenley which played a vital role in both World Wars and all those who served at the base. The memorial is found on Kenley Common, Hayes Lane in Kenley. It was resited in July 2017 as part of restoration of spine wall.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
