About the memorial: The memorial windows commemorate the deaths of the young men from the St Andrews Presbyterian Church during the two world wars. The large central window contains the image of a warrior surrounded by the symbols of Scotland, Ireland and England with the epitaph 'in affectionate memory of the young men of this church who made the supreme sacrifice'. The names of the fallen, 15 in all, are listed on the two adjacent windows that contain full names, date of death and service or regimental badge. Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
