About the memorial: The war memorial in the Herefordshire village of Old Gore is Grade II listed and made of Hollington sandstone. The capital is a gabled crucifix with a solid background and is at the top of a shaft on a plinth. The plinth, originally from an old preaching cross, stands on an early twentieth century two-stepped base. The capital has a relief of the crucified Christ on one side and Mary and child on the other.
