About the memorial: Two brass plaques set in a wooden, corniced edged board. The large WW1 plaque has a double line border, a Latin cross top LHS, dedications and names in two columns by year of death. Below this, in an alcove is a small plaque for WW2. All in uppercase, incised lettering. Wall mounted backboard supporting a large, landscape orientated highly polished brass plaque beneath which, is a smaller and plain engraved WW2 brass plaque. Both plaques are encased by a common moulded wooden frame interrupted by a step-down extension from the lower rail. Main plaque hosts two engraved inscriptions, between which, grouped names of the fallen for each year are recorded in two columns. At the commencement of the upper inscription is a raised plaquette design comprising a Latin cross with sun burst behind, all on a blue background. The combined inscriptions and names area is enclosed by an engraved dual-lined border. The outer line joins all six fixing point centres together whilst the parallel inner line, en route, decoratively encircles each of the fixing points.
