About the memorial: The sculpture is of a winged female figure in a mourning pose, with face cast downwards, and holding a wreath draped with flags in each hand. It stands on a column that rises from a plinth that has carved laurel swags to each corner. The west and east sides are carved with finely detailed bas-reliefs that depict men and officers of the Army, Navy and the Flying Corps, and the north side is carved with shields. It is located in the grounds of another war memorial, WMO/1883674 - Broadstone Recreation Ground. Built in 1920, designed by Gilbert Bayes.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.
