About the memorial: Unveiled 11 November 1923 by Mr Vincent Knight. This memorial is a square column with pillars at each corner on a stepped base. It is topped by a hexagonal column with a dome and fancy fleur de lys cross. The stone of the columns is reddish while that of the pillars and base is grey.
