WMT have reviewed the recent photographs and upgraded the condition to Fair. Whilst there is some algae staining and missing repointing this is low level. Regular condition checks should be done every 6 or 12 months. The condition survey form in Historic England’s The Conservation, Repair and Management of War Memorials document can be used for this and information recorded here on War Memorials Online, see the Links tab. This will help determine when works are required. It may also be beneficial to produce a wreath plan to try and reduce future staining to the stonework. See the Links Tab for WMTs guidance on wreaths.
