Comments:
Lettering is starting to deteriorate. Incised inscriptions contain pre-drilled holes but missing lead. The stone appears to have deteriorated around some of the lettering making it unclear. Some of the pointing has started to fail leaving open joints. The shaft contains a defected section at the rear next to the joint which would require repairing. The figure on the shaft is missing part of its foot and would require partial replacement. Parts of the memorial is covered in surface dirt and biological growth due to the overhanging trees. WMT considering works.
