Comments:
Generally the structure of oak framing is sound but externally the joints have opened up by about 5mm on the bottom of the southern board. The backs of the boards are well weathered on the southern side and decaying on the edges. Internally the oak framing remains sound whilst heavily stained. The reflective nature of the Perspex used to protect the names makes reading them extremely difficult and the scratches make it almost impossible in some areas. In the north west corner the Perspex has been broken and some names have been partly erased from the memorial and others defaced.
