Comments:
WMT deems this fair, although some areas of concern require monitoring. There are signs of decay in the stonework beneath the sculptures as well as in the sculptures themselves, which could be the result of inappropriate or over cleaning. Whilst there are minor issues with the condition, we would not recommend doing anything now. This is because the names, inscriptions and commemorative function of the war memorial are still being maintained. The Trust recommends regular checks and photographs which can be compared to monitor any change. War Memorials Online can be used to help share those.
