Comments:
Stockport Council has had work completed to improve the war memorial with grant support from the War Memorials Trust. The bottom step of the memorial has been re-aligned and the memorial joints pointed. The inscription areas have been gently cleaned to remove lichen. The octagonal 'crazy paved' standing area has been taken up and relaid. The steps and retaining walls have been patch pointed.
