Comments:
The overall condition of the cross is fair. It is structurally sound and not in any danger of collapse or decay. However the condition of the engraving on the cross is poor and is virtually unreadable. To overcome this problem a small green plaque, made out of durable material and duplicating the inscription on the cross, has been mounted on the railings immediately in front of the memorial. To most this plaque is easily legible.
