Comments:
Materials are stable and appear to be quite well maintained but some deterioration is visible. There are minor cracks in the stonework, mortar is missing from some joints and there is some loose pointing. There does not appear to be any damage by soot or pollution, although there is some weathering and a little moss/lichen present. Metal elements appear to be firmly attached to surface and not dented. There is slight staining from the First World War plaque into the stonework below. Lettering and decorative elements on stonework and metalwork are, on the whole, well defined and legible. There is no evident damage by vandalism or graffiti. The surrounding area is clear of litter, tidy, well maintained and associated vegetation is actively managed. Steps appear to be secure. There are no access restrictions.
