Comments:
Granite cenotaph and steps in good condition, but arson damage from 2022 attack remain, light streaks around lettering and some rusting at bronze plaque, which itself is hard to read. Re-pointing required in a number of joints. Overall setting with patterned sandstone paving, granite bollards and chains and flag holders in poorer condition with water poling on paving, open joints, broken basis (diagonally) of most granite bollards, some loose in their setting, chipped paint on chains. The arcades with the flag holders have extensive algae growth, with the bronze flag holders having flaking paint. Crowd control barriers in place for most of the year.
