Comments:
The school's alumni magazine 'Atrium' records that the memorial was indeed relocated to Barnes in 1968 and re-erected on the western end of the site near the river. Unfortunately it was vandalised, and by 1974 was in 'an unhappy state...the cross and part of the copper roof had been taken and it was beginning to look shabby and derelict'. It was purchased by Old Pauline and School Governor Professor Alfred Ubbelohde, who had it erected in his garden in Sussex (see Links). It is not clear if the memorial still exists, although IWM does give its current location as Rother, Sussex.
