Comments:
The wooden parts of the memorial are in good condition, but the lower part, which is in the local stone, Clunch, has suffered damage due to rising damp. The base of the central section of the memorial, on which the casualties from World War 2 are listed, is crumbling badly and some names are now barely legible. The panels on either side are stained and also beginning to deteriorate and are stained. A project has been launched to repair this damage.
