Comments:
In accordance with Bulletin Number 108, a request to visit and update condition of The North Head Memorial Tower in Wick Caithness. Acces is still prevented with temporary barriers and the stonework is suffering from the effects of wind and rain associated with his area and location. The foundation stones badly worn and the exterior surface of the tower has had the corner cladding stones removed. The plaques are in fair condition but some being obscured with leaching from the mortar of the main structure. An access point to the interior was created by knocking through the blocked up doorway but was only covered with a metal grate that is now in a rusting and eroded condition. Access to the roof was not possible but vegetation can be observed growing from the tower's roof south corner.
