Comments:
This memorial was very well positioned by the original organisers to be a focal point of the village. It is clearly obvious from the main street of the village as people go about their daily affairs. We are looking forward to giving this memorial a light cleaning and re-pointing (hopefully with the help of the WMT) before the Remembrance Sunday service in November this year, where we will dedicate a new plaque, replacing the original, but in a commemorative tone in keeping with the WW2 plaque which was placed there 50 years after that conflict.
