Comments:
The inscription was perfectly legible on this visit. I am not sure what has been done but the cross no longer qualifies as Poor so I am upgrading my previous judgement. Thr rest of the stonewotk is weathered and mottled but the cross sits in front of a 12th century church and a Tudor manor house of faded grandeur, so would look totally out of place if given too thorough a clean.
