Comments:
Condition is as noted previously in 2014. Detailed condition images added today which I hope are useful. Due to condition I keep a monthly watching brief (and have done so since 2009) on the memorial due to it's condition and concern of catastrophic failure of the wall hangings. Although on the Cemetery wall it is not the responsibility of Copeland Council- the cemetery owner. If it were to fall my ongoing risk assessment has shown that the wideness of the grass border underneath shows that the risk of personal injury is low. As in any cemetery there is a risk of malicious damage. Ideally it would be restored and found a home in the nearby St John's Church, Hensingham. Update 25 December 2022- the memorial is becoming noticeably dirty, but otherwise the condition is unaltered.
