Comments:
The memorial needs a really good cleaning, with the inscription on two sides of the base currently being illegible, due to ingrained dirt. Although arguably not part of a condition report it is on top of a hillock, with no proper access for those who are less able, and additionally the gate into the compound area needed a fair degree of effort to open It (only partly due to the snowy conditions). The overall impression was one of benign neglect.
