Comments:
With wars ongoing in the Middle East, Africa and Ukraine, I think we all should be conscious of the sacrifices that others have made in the past to keep us safe. I wanted therefore to draw attention to the poor state of the memorial to the fallen of the two world wars in St. Mary's churchyard. I viewed it a few days ago and was shocked to see how stained it had become, with some names now illegible. Many of those listed will of course have descendants or relatives still living in Kidlington. May I suggest therefore that it would be good if a working party could be organised to clean the monument with a target date of this year's Armistice Day commemorations for completion if not sooner?
