Comments:
The memorial was housed in a derelict building (an Old Boys Club) for some years, then thrown into a skip, from whence it was rescued and stored for the last 20 years. There is evidence of paint splashes, general degradation of the varnish/lacquer, so evidence of damage to the wooden backing board, possibly caused by water. Names on the plaque are legible but require attention to the varnish/lacquer to prevent further damage. An application for funding to restore the plaque has now been made as it has only recently come back into the possession of the school where it was originally hung.
