Comments:
WMT have assessed recent photographs and consider the war memorial to be in Fair condition. The lettering is on the whole well defined and legible, although there is a reduction in clarity. There is a build up of biological growth on parts of the war memorial but this is not impacting the inscriptions. War memorials, the majority of which are a century old, should look their age as they are historic objects which change over the years. Looking old can also help young people understand our memorials better as they look like part of our history.
