Comments:
North elevation (WW1) condition summary The lead lettering is in fair condition as it is legible but has some of the lead lettering missing. In the top inscription section, the top half of the letter O in “to the memory” is missing and the entire letter T is missing from, “of those who fell”. Also, part of the letter G in “the Great War” is missing so the G looks like a C. The lead lettering generally aged but legible. The top two names Charlton and Cocker both have had ranks changed at some point, now showing “SGT” (Sergeant). West elevation (WW2) condition summary The mortar is in good condition and the stone is in fair condition and has some light grey lichens on each of the three ledges on the near horizontal faces with most of the stone a mossy green colour. The lead lettering is in fair condition as it shows its age but is legible.
