Comments:
Keen stamp collector Ivan Keeling, who grew up in Wednesbury but now lives in Wombourne, used to sell steel to the firm and spotted the memorial while browsing on-line auction catalogues for stamps. After speaking to Wednesbury Civic Society he retrieved the item and donated it to the library. Wednesbury artist Gary Morgan then spent nine months restoring it. This is thanks to an £878 grant from Wednesbury Town Committee The Roll of Honour is now in excellent condition
