Comments:
A couple of the plaque's retaining screws are missing; the wooden mount needs some maintenance; the inscribed writing on the plaque is starting to fade. 17/04/22 - attended the memorial and replaced all four of the plaque's retaining screws. I also removed the lichen growing on the wooden board to which the plaque is attached and gave the plaque a bit of a clean. The inscribed writing on the plaque was originally filled in in black; however, all the black colouring has flaked away. The inscription is therefore not so prominent and more difficult read. There is an identical plaque nearby inside the Ashingdon & East Hawkwell Memorial Hall
