Comments:
The Cenotaph is made of sandstone and is subject to weather damage. The condition of the memorial is fair. The lettering on certain sides is worn making it difficult to read, probably due to the prevailing weather ,The main concern is the settlement to the west elevation .This is resulting in pressure being put on the steps causing some movement and damage .( I am told this is long standing maybe 30-40 years old ) So cannot guarantee stability without a structural engineers report as there is a history of subsidence in the area due to salt extraction.
