Comments:
The memorial suffers from continuous anti-social damage caused by people using the seating area to drink and take drugs. There is graffiti to the wooden parts of the memorial both inscribed and written. There is damage to the tiled roof with tiles missing, moss growth and wire netting that has been used to deter birds from nesting damaged and missing. The wooden parts of the memorial are extremely weathered and need repair/replacing in areas - especially seating. The inscription is becoming very faded and hard to read. There have been repairs made to the memorial that are not suitable. The metal work of the gates is damaged and missing as too are some of the panels in the gates. Some of the stone work requires repair and on of the stone sections at the back of the memorial is loose and moves when gentle pressure is applied.
