Comments:
The memorial is currently in poor condition. The entire honour board has suffered from darkening of the wood and degradation of past varnish. The lettering is visually impaired by embedded wax residue and by the darkening of the oak. There is a missing ogee shaped section at the bottom as well as a bracket needing to be fixed. In March 2019, a survey was carried out by a conservator who provided a written report , treatment proposal and quote for restoration. It was agreed by the PCC (Parochial Church Council) to raise funds to restore the war memorial and a pre-grant application has been submitted to the War Memorials Trust (May 2019).
