Comments:
The timbers on the east side of the gate were badly burned in a fire in April 2019. When the Insurance Assessors visited to inspect the damage they reported extensive sitting elsewhere in the structure. The Insurers paid for the fire damage to be repaired, and fund-raising enabled the other timbers to be replaced by August 2019. The gate is therefore in reasonable condition at present - until the vandals strike again....
