Comments:
The spire was dismantled from just above where the clock faces are positioned, and rebuilt in 2012/13. The clock was removed during the process, but re-installed during the rebuilding. It is assumed the clock was serviced in the meantime - so will be in good condition. However, the sandstone plaque relating to the Memorial has eroded through weathering and a considerable part of the lettering is now illegible.
